FOOD
First things first…food
Halls Chophouse: Halls Chophouse is a renowned steakhouse located in the heart of downtown Columbia. Known for its high-quality steaks, seafood, and Southern hospitality, it offers a sophisticated dining experience. The menu features prime cuts of meat, fresh seafood, and an extensive wine list. The food and experience at Halls is a must when in Columbia. This is one of my favorite places and it just gets better and better every time. You will leave here feeling full and satisfied with your experience.
2. Hendrix Restaurant: Hendrix is a modern American restaurant located on Main Street. Hendrix offers a diverse menu with an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant is known for its creative dishes, craft cocktails, and rooftop dining with stunning views of the city. I go the “Dirty Bird” cocktail and it was a tropical and light drink. Perfect to enjoy at happy hour! The presentation of the food and drinks were also a 10/10!
3. Eggs Up Grill: Eggs Up Grill is a popular breakfast and brunch spot in Columbia. They serve a variety of classic breakfast dishes, including omelets, pancakes, and eggs benedict. It's a great place to start your day with a hearty meal and a cup of coffee. If you love breakfast just as much as I do, this is the place to be when you get up in the morning! Nothing fancy at Eggs Up Grill, just your classic breakfast that everyone will enjoy.
4. Tasty As Fit: Tasty as fit is a health-focused cafe offering nutritious and delicious options. They specialize in made-to-order smoothies, fresh juices, salads, and wraps. I did a lot of walking while I was in Columbia and this is the perfect place to get a quick lunch or snack! The “Jennifer Aniston” salad (quinoa, cucumber, chickpeas, red onion, vegan feta, radish, parsley, mint, olive oil, and lemon) is very refreshing and a great summer salad. Whether you're looking for a post-workout meal or a healthy snack, Tasty As Fit has you covered.
5. Drip Coffee: Drip Coffee is a local coffee shop that serves high-quality, specialty coffee. They offer a variety of coffee beverages, including pour-over, espresso-based drinks, and cold brew. The cozy atmosphere and friendly baristas make it a great place to relax and enjoy your favorite brew. If you like spice, I recommend trying the Honey Habanero Latte… it’s spicy so get ready!
6. Azalea Coffee Bar: Azalea Coffee Bar is a charming coffee shop in the Rosewood neighborhood on Devine Street. They have a rotating selection of beans from various roasters. In addition to coffee, they also offer pastries and light bites to keep you energized and full during the day. The atmosphere and location are just right for this cute coffee bar. I recommend trying the Queen Bee (espresso, honey, cinnamon, steamed milk, and cinnamon sugar)!
