Berries, Chocolate, and Toffee…oh my!

Hi peeps! This recipe has little bit of everything… and I mean everything— from sour to sweet. When I think of Valentine’s day, I think of chocolate so I am making Chocolate Toffee Sauce. It’s all about the balance so enjoy a little bit of the sweetness this Valentine’s Day.

INGREDIENTS

  • Fresh or frozen raspberries, blueberries, strawberries

  • 3/4 cups of sugar

  • 1/2 cup whipping cream

  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup

  • 2T butter

  • Sour cream

  • Cool whip

  • Heath Bars

HOW TO

  1. Add your butter to a sauce pan and melt on medium-low heat.

  2. Once the butter is melted, add your sugar, whipping cream, and light corn syrup to the pan. Bring to a boil and stir for 1 minute while boiling.

  3. Crush Heath Bars (I like mine finely crushed) and add to the pan.

  4. Stir until chocolate sauce is melted to form Chocolate Toffee Sauce!

  5. Add your strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries to a bowl. Top with a spoonful of sour cream and cool whip. (Trust the sour cream!)

  6. Drizzle your chocolate toffee sauce on top.

  7. ENJOY!

**Note: This chocolate toffee sauce can top many different things…you choose!
